Noa Catharina
As Co-Founder of Scalar, she is focused on solving the single biggest constraint to the growth of AI: the energy and water dependency of legacy data centers.
Her entire career has been spent building the foundations for next-generation technology. As a chief product officer, she scaled the product suite for distributed machine learning workloads used by demanding government, research, and healthcare clients. This work required navigating the immense power, cooling, and data challenges that emerge when deploying AI in mission critical environments.
Her background also includes leading product for the data annotation platforms that are fundamental to training autonomous systems and natural language processing models. Her work has consistently placed her at the intersection of massive computational demand and the physical infrastructure required to support it.
This experience across the technology stack revealed a fundamental flaw in the market: the world is trying to run tomorrow's AI on yesterday's infrastructure. The reliance on air-cooled, water-intensive data centers is no longer just inefficient; it is a direct risk to scalability and a barrier to innovation.
Scalar was founded to close that gap. Noa now leads the development of zero water, high density data centers specifically engineered for the thermal demands of GPU driven computing. Her approach de-risks AI development by eliminating the water dependency that creates permitting delays and operational fragility, providing the stable, resilient infrastructure that hyperscalers and innovators need to build the future.
